A different hole does not always need a different box.

01

A standard body, modified

If the components, wiring and door-mounted devices fit one of our standard sizes, start there. Place cable entries, operators, connectors or a display opening on the required face in the cutout designer.

Check the usable space first
02

A custom body and openings

If a standard body cannot meet the space or mounting requirements, define the outside size and material in the enclosure builder, or attach your own drawing to the quote form. Include the required inside clearance as well.

A standard body in the grade you need.

These are starting bodies, not a fit recommendation. Each product page shows its inside dimensions, mounting panel, usable depth and reference CAD. Use its “Design your cutouts” link to carry that exact body into the designer.

A quote that matches the job

What to put on the drawing.

  1. Body and material. Outside height × width × depth, units, 304 or 316L, and the inside space the equipment needs.
  2. Each opening. Face, size, corner radius and location from a named datum; identify holes, studs, glands, windows and operator devices separately.
  3. The installed device. Exact model and its mechanical drawing, required panel thickness, mounting method, rear depth and connector clearance.
  4. The site. Indoors or outdoors, washdown method, chemicals, required rating or listing, mounting arrangement, quantity, destination and required date.

PDF, DXF, DWG and STEP are accepted by the quote form. A photo of a marked sketch is enough to start the discussion. The approval drawing resolves the final dimensions before cutting.

Before you specify the cutouts

Can I order a single stainless enclosure with my own holes?

Yes. Custom work starts from one piece. Send the body size, stainless grade and a dimensioned drawing, or place your openings in the cutout designer. We check the request and quote it by email.

Does a new cutout automatically keep the enclosure rating?

No. Our standard wall-mount enclosures are rated NEMA 4X / IP66 by the manufacturer; not UL listed. The finished assembly depends on suitable components, seals and cable glands in every opening. Tell us the required rating and cleaning conditions so the proposed design can be reviewed.

What dimensions should my cutout drawing include?

Name the face, opening width and height or diameter, corner radius, and position from a stated edge or datum. Include the device model, panel-thickness limits, mounting holes or studs, depth behind the opening and space needed for connectors and cables. A screen diagonal alone is not a cutout specification.

When does delivery time start for a modified enclosure?

For quoted custom work, the 10-business-day delivery period starts from your approval of the quoted drawing. The quote identifies the size, material, openings and delivery requirements before you order.

Have a drawing? Start with that.

Send the size, grade, openings, quantity and destination. An engineer replies by email with questions or a formal quote and a drawing to approve.
